Talk about a long time since I've blogged! Actually, it's not me that's blogging...It's my sister. She's pretty awesome. I think she's my favorite sister. But anyway, I've had a very enjoyable summer! Here are some pictures of what I've been up too. I went to California with my fam over the 4th of July. We relaxed, watched fireworks, played tennis, went to the beach, and lots of other things I don't feel like writing. The other pictures are from Yellowstone. I've never been there before, so I'm glad I finally got to go. I won't lie, I got a little bored at times, but overall, it was a neat trip! Waching the Bar J Wranglers perform was probably my highlight. Nothin like a sweet ho-down. Enjoy these pictures for now, hopefully I'll be able to blog again soon!

Best Friend

Well, as most of you know, I moved from AZ to UT right before my sophomore year of high school. Anyway, a couple weeks ago, my best friend from AZ got engaged to Holly Butler. They came up to visit, so we made them a sign and everything. They make a great, cute couple, and I just wanted to say congratulations Stephen. He has been my best friend since day one of birth, and is pretty much like a brother in the family. It is hard to believe that we are grown up and getting engaged, but it is great to see it at the same time. Once again, congratulations!

Baptism

Having come back from 2 years of baptizing people into the true church, it is hard not getting that opportunity again; to teach, to serve, to baptize. Well, 1 month ago, my little brother turned 8 and I got to go watch my other brother baptize him. It was a great experience and really fun. Kelsie, my younger sister, gave a talk on the Spirit and Missy, my older sister, on baptism. We had a lot of family there and it made me feel like I was back in Ecuador, just with white people. Caleb is a great young boy and he will do well in the game of life. Good luck Caleb and keep up the good work!

The Wedding

Well I finally figured out that my dads camera has

a USB extension cord, so I am going to catch up on

all the stuff that has happened; starting with my

sisters wedding!

This is us, the McCleary family boys.

The girls are off and married,

and we are just hanging around,

but enjoying life. This is right outside of the

temple waiting anxiously for Kelsie to come out.

So that is the wedding. It was a perfect day, perfect weather, perfect couple, and in the temple. What more could you want. Kelsie, congratulations again, and I am soo very proud of you. You look beautiful and I am proud to be your brother!

Well, this is weird because my whole life I have been a U of U fan. In my family, we wear red shirts, red hats, have big U's in our house, have ancestoral Utah blood, and for Christmas (partly in spite of our neighbor Y fans), we put up red christmas lights in a big U in our window. And now, I am announcing that I am going to the Y. Dont get me wrong, it is a great school (hence me going there), but I never thought. Oh well, life goes on. I was pretty excited, although, to get it. Anyway, I first of all want to thank Kali Jarvis for helping me edit my application letter. I am too wordy, and she, being the genius she is, got my letter down to the required amount of words. Thanks Kali! I am sure they will accept you too JUST for doing that. JK. I also want to thank my family for the huge support you have all always been, whether it is lending a hand or a dumb joke, you always make life better. Love YA!

As I started writing, I began to think about what I should post. I could put junk that no one cares about, but I thought I would write about one of the things that matters most to me: Ecuador. Most of you know that I spent 2 years in Ecuador, giving my "heart, might, mind and strength" to them. To be honest, I miss it. I know home is where I need to be, but like they say, the hardest work to give up is the one you lost yourself in. The people are humble, loving people who will give you everything. They are my second family. You know, you find yourself when you lose yourself. Who I am today is because of the experiences and the people I came to love in a far-away, poor, latin country.
